Dallas, TX- Parking Company of America’s Star Parking will be donating services valued at over $13,000 to the Dallas 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb on September 8, 2012. Star Parking will be donating Lot 20 (located at 1101 Pacific) and Lot 12 (located at 1205 Patterson) for the event. These lots will be used for event purposes and the display of a wide variety of fire fighting equipment. For public parking, Star Parking suggests using the Ross Garage, which is the most accessible and economic parking ($2.00) for this event.

The Dallas 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb gathers 343 local firefighters to the Renaissance Tower in downtown Dallas. Here the firefighters load up with 30 to 50 pounds of gear and equipment and trek 110 stories to salute the 343 fallen firefighters at the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Each firefighter will carry the name and photo of one of the fallen heroes and place it at the top of their climb prior to descending.

“9/11 was one of the most collective and patriotic efforts of non-military personnel in the history of our country,” said Michael Anderson, local partner. “The time and energy we’re putting into this feels like a natural patriotic duty, not simply a donation.”
