PITTSBURGH (December 20, 2023) – As holiday travelers head to the airport in what industry experts are calling the busiest holiday season ever for airline travel, a new airport parking facility is giving travelers around the region a convenient and affordable new parking option at Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT). Fast Park & Relax – a leader in offsite airport parking and transportation – is welcoming its first guests on Dec. 20 and is offering all travelers the second day of their parking stay for free.

“We’re excited to enter the bustling Pittsburgh market and have been working with local crews and partners to get this facility opened in time for peak holiday travel,” shares Fast Park President Rob Chavez. “Parking capacity is strained at airports across the country, and the airports undertaking large capital improvements like PIT often feel the added chaos. Our brand-new facility has ample space for the holiday crunch. We’re hoping PIT travelers come see what Fast Park is all about, and the second day of their stay will be on us.”

Fast Park broke ground on the facility on Moon Clinton Rd. earlier this year and has been transforming the 29 acres into its latest airport parking operation, the company’s 17th facility. With airport parking operations around the country, including Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport – the nation’s busiest, Fast Park has been continually elevating travelers’ airport parking experiences for nearly 40 years.

The new facility will add more than 2,000 parking spaces for PIT travelers. Pittsburgh Fast Park will have all the hallmarks of the Fast Park brand, such as a secure, clean and well-lit lot that is staffed 24/7; free car-to-terminal shuttle service and free luggage assistance; a mobile-friendly online portal in which guests can secure reservations, enjoy a completely contactless experience, earn points toward free parking and manage their parking transactions; and more. Fast Park also will invest in an environmentally friendly, geo-thermal heating system at the facility.

Melanie Chavez, a partner at Chavez Properties – the parent company of the Fast Park brand, shares that the company is still putting the finishing touches on the facility and has some additional investment and build-out to complete in the coming months but that the team and operation are ready to hit the ground running. “Our team is ready to welcome travelers, and our shuttles will be making their rounds to the terminal 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We’re thrilled to bring the Fast Park airport parking experience to PIT!”
