Fast Park, a leading offsite airport parking company, is honored to have its Indianapolis facility achieve LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification in August. After moving into the Indianapolis market for the first time in December 2013, the nearly 4,000-square-foot facility recently met the requirements set by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC).

The certification comes as the result of the facility’s sustainable design and water efficiency efforts.

“Implementing green construction methods and products has been a priority for our company for the past several years,” said Melanie Chavez, Executive Vice President of Construction and Branding at Fast Park. “We are continuously looking for ways to make our facilities more energy-efficient and reduce our carbon footprint. Indianapolis is the first facility to go through this process and we’re thrilled to have it become our first LEED-certified facility.”

The LEED certification is just one example of Fast Park’s ongoing environmental sustainability commitment. In 2013, the company installed 300 solar panels at its Austin facility and energy-efficient lighting in Milwaukee. In addition, Fast Park has installed 22 complimentary ChargePoint electric vehicle charging stations in facilities across the U.S., including four at the Indianapolis Fast Park & Relax. These dual stations can accommodate a combined total of 44 vehicles and are offered as part of the FastCharge© program.
