Fast Park continues its commitment to making its facilities more eco-friendly by installing new energy efficient lighting at its Milwaukee Fast Park & Relax location near the General Mitchell International Airport (MKE). Over the last several years, the offsite airport parking company has been incorporating energy-saving and green initiatives at its locations throughout its 13 markets. The lights installed in Milwaukee will reduce energy usage by up to 65 percent.

“Building eco-friendly facilities is one of Fast Park’s most important initiatives,” said Melanie Chavez, Executive Vice President of Construction and Branding. “It’s important to reduce our energy consumption while providing a friendly and relaxing experience for our guests.”

Fast Park & Relax, located across the street from MKE, was upgraded with a mixture of G2-8 (400 watt equivalent) and G2-10 (500 watt equivalent) LED lights. The new fixtures provide 20 to 30 percent more light while reducing energy usage.

In addition to the new energy-efficient lighting, Fast Park’s Milwaukee facility utilizes Sprinter shuttles which emit approximately 56 percent less carbon dioxide gas per vehicle mile when compared to a 6.0L diesel engine vehicle. The facility also provides complimentary luggage assistance, a newspaper upon entrance (available Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m., while supplies last) and electric vehicle charging through its 120 V outdoor rated GFI’s.
