Offsite airport parking company Fast Park is continuing its support of Blue Water Baltimore, a nonprofit community based organization with a mission to restore the quality of Baltimore’s rivers, streams and harbor.

This year, Fast Park is supporting the organization’s 2013 Berry Festival on June 22 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Herring Run Park on Belair Road. The event celebrates volunteers while educating the community and celebrating Baltimore’s green spaces. The day will feature live music, a native berry dessert contest, native plant and berry sales, games and crafts for kids, and much more.

“Fast Park is committed to the Baltimore community and supporting its many green initiatives,” said Melanie Chavez, Executive Vice President of Construction and Branding at Fast Park. “We are an eco-friendly company, and we believe in the work being done by Blue Water Baltimore. We’re happy to support the organization’s volunteers with this event.”

In November of 2012, Fast Park and students from New Era Academy planted 75 trees in Cherry Hill Park with Blue Water Baltimore. The project supported the school’s Environmental Science curriculum and helped Blue Water Baltimore’s goal of reaching a 40 percent tree canopy by 2037.
