Summer vacation hangover? A quick fall getaway can cure that! If you’re not ready for a full week-long vacation again, this season is the perfect time to take a long weekend for some much needed R&R. The beautiful changing leaves and crisp fall air give you the perfect setting to curl up with your loved ones and sip hot apple cider. When you’re planning your getaway, be sure to look at boutique hotels. They may offer a view or amenities others do not.

Travel + Leisure has a great list of hotels for fall colors. We’d like to visit them all! While some are a splurge, like the Omni Mount Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods, N.H., others are adorable and quite affordable. Aspen, Colo. has gorgeous fall foliage in September and October, making it the perfect place to visit. With minimalist rooms and huge windows, Aspen Meadows, looks like a great choice for guaranteed spectacular views.

Another great destination for fall foliage is New England, and there are plenty of outstanding boutique hotels to stay at, according to the Travel Channel. Add Nantucket to your destinations and stay at The Wauwinet. This small neighborhood village inn has 32 rooms and offers the cozy and quiet experience you might be craving.

If you’re looking to go international, Venuelust has its list of the best boutique hotels for a fall getaway, including hotels in England, Tuscany and Guadalupe. While these may not be a quick weekend trip, they’re definitely worth adding to your bucket list.
