All-inclusive resorts
Plan your next vacation with one click at an all-inclusive resort.
Whether you’re looking for a romantic getaway for two or a week of family fun, an all-inclusive resort can be an exciting and affordable option. If budgeting for restaurants and experiences seems too stressful and you’re really looking for some R&R, an all-inclusive resort is the perfect destination for you.
When thinking about an all-inclusive stay, it’s important to note the rate usually includes the room, meals, beverages (non-alcoholic and certain alcohol brands) and basic activities. However, it’s always best to do your homework and check on other amenities – such as golfing, the spa and excursions – as they may be extra.
In addition, some resorts may offer better dining packages for an additional fee. And, if you’re traveling with kids, you’ll want to make sure the resort has family-friendly entertainment and activities and offers babysitting services so you can have some adults-only time.
If you have your budget in mind, check out some of the best affordable all-inclusive resorts from Travel + Leisure. Their list includes resorts for couples and families of every age range. For first-time, all-inclusive travelers, visit Azul Beach Hotel in Riviera Maya. It’s a smaller resort and every room has a patio or balcony and it’s laid back with activities and adventures so you can move at your own pace. Couples looking for a quiet getaway should visit CocoBay Resort in Antigua as the resort is considered “unplugged” with no phones or televisions and you must be over 18 to visit.
If you’re thinking about splurging a little on an all-inclusive vacation, check out Travel + Leisure’s list of the most over-the-top all-inclusive amenities, including a Cirque du Soleil fitness program at Club Med Punta Cana. Guests can try the flying trapeze, aerial silk, tightrope and trampoline.
While there are some great all-inclusive resorts in the United States, you’ll get the best bang for your buck if you travel to Mexico or the Caribbean. Make sure to do your research so you don’t book a trip when it’s seasonably cooler, or during hurricane season.
Final tip: to save a little bit more on your next trip, double check any special offers you can get if you bundle your vacation with airfare on a travel site like Expedia or Orbitz.
