Nearly 65 Parking Company of America (PCA) managers and marketing representatives partnered with Cincinnati Habitat for Humanity by underwriting and providing labor for a "Framing Event" to help expedite the build of "Hometown House" for one deserving family.

"Parking Company of America is a shining example of what can be accomplished in a short period of time when you join many hands together to benefit the entire community.  Cincinnati Habitat recently engaged over 60 PCA employees from across the country to help frame walls in our new Framing Annex; the largest group the space has seen.  In just a few short hours they built all the walls for the 2012 Hometown House being built in partnership with Maracca Bush and her daughters.  Cincinnati Habitat is grateful for Parking Company of America's meaningful impact in jump starting the Hometown House project and for their general support of Habitat's building ministry," said Marissa Woodly, Cincinnati Habitat for Humanity Development Director.

Hometown House is one of 20 homes that Habitat for Humanity will build or rehab in 2012 and is located in Evanston.  Maracca Bush and her four young daughters will be residing in the home once it is complete.  A graduate of Kaplan college, Bush works at University of Cincinnati Health Services as a medical assistant.  She will be attending nursing school.  Bush describes herself as a, "dedicated mother who gives the world to my children."  Bush adds, "I work very hard to provide for my family I am blessed and thankful to everyone who has helped provide me with this opportunity to show my kids nothing is impossible."  When Maracca's home is completed and she has earned 500 hours of sweat equity, she will purchase her home with a 0%, interest free mortgage and can expect her monthly mortgage to be $400.00 per month (including costs, taxes and insurance).

"We're a family-owned and managed company.  We value the cities we are located in and recognize the importance of our civic responsibilities," says Melanie Chavez, Principal for Fast Park.  "While the event started as a team-building idea, it quickly evolved into a deeper, more meaningful experience, allowing our employees to support the community in a substantive, transformative way."
