William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) is one of two airports in the fourth largest city in the United States, Houston. Located 25 minutes from downtown, this airport has a long list of amenities to appeal to all types of travelers. Hobby is home to four major airlines, including American Airlines, Delta, JetBlue and Southwest and offers both domestic and international flights.

Before you go: Park at our HOU facility and we’ll get you to the terminal in less than 10 minutes. From covered parking to a complimentary newspaper and bottle of water, we’ll start and end your trip on the right foot. (Consider making advance reservations to secure your parking during peak travel seasons.)

What to eat: With its own flare and flavor, Houston is a foodie’s dream. If you’re just passing through and don’t have time to leave the airport, check out Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen, Pappas Bar-B-Q, Pappas Burger or Pappasito’s Cantina. All of them are local favorites that offer a wide variety of options.

Where to shop: Pick up your NASA gear at the Space Corner near Gate 1 or pass the time by browsing in Brookstone, a specialty retailer offering an assortment of consumer products.

Find your calm: The Houston Airport System (HOU and IAH) houses one of the largest collections of public art in the state of Texas. Take a walk through the airport to admire everything from sculptures to photographs, mostly from Texas-based artists. Click here for a full list of the art at Hobby.

If your idea of relaxation involves some pampering, visit the XpresSpa at the central concourse near Gate 45. This spa offers a variety of services including men’s and women’s facials, waxing, manicures, pedicures and massages.

Explore outside the airport: If you’re visiting Houston or have a longer layover, HOU is only 25 minutes from the bustling downtown activity. Consider taking a Houston City Double Decker Bus Tour or check out the Houston Museum of Natural Science, Children’s Museum or the Houston Zoo for some family-fun time in between flights; all three spots are close together off I-69, south of downtown.
